Creatif Design Consultancy was founded in 1994 by Smadar Samson. Having graduated in Industrial Design from Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) in Israel, received a BSc degree in Technical Education from Tel Aviv University and a Psychology Diploma from University of London, Smadar established in London an interdisciplinary design practice that meets diverse needs of young people of all ages and abilities. In  2001, Smadar was appointed a senior lecturer in design at Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media and Design, and in 2005 was appointed a postgraduate course leader of  "MA Design Research for Disability” at the London Metropolitan University, UK. 
   

After relocating to California in 2008, Smadar acquired the Therapeutic Uses of Art certificate from UCSD and has applied her artwork to therapeutic settings, public art and social design. Smadar's work has been displayed and interacted with at parks, schools, museums, hospitals, community and commercial centres throughout the United Kingdom and United States. Since 2010 Smadar has served as Curator (Curatorial website under construction) and Vice President of the House of Israel in Balboa Park, San Diego.

Creatif consultancy is collaborating with international cultural, educational, healthcare and architectural companies aiming to implement its proven disciplines in public spaces.
