INTERACTIVE POLKA… is a multi sensory space dotted with visually captivating effects which mesmerize visitors at various degrees of darkness. Polka dots hide surprising audio-visual effects such as changing the colours of tubes in which air bubbles slowly rise, the stretching LED lights in an "infinity" tunnel, distorted mirrors and various other sounds effects.
Manufacturer: Kirton CBS Ltd.
MAKING WAVES… at the main reception of Children's Hospital for Wales.
Waving hands in front of the glass droplets magically create different sounds such as big crushing waves, gentle surf, singing whales, children's laugher and farewell waves ("soave sia il vento") from Mozart's Cossi Fan Tutte.
Sound design: Environetics
INTERACTIVE CORAL REEF … playing with fish and shells inside the coral reef activates the sounds of surfs and dives, transporting children to the underwater world.
There they crawl through a tunnel leading to a yellow submarine that sends out different sounds and colours which they control themselves. Gentle waves can be heard from inside the fiberoptic shell where toddlers like to lie peacefully and glare at the sparkling stars.
Manufacturer: Kirton CBS Ltd.
HANDS ON… introduces a playful concept of x-rays and tunnels in the radiology's waiting area. Different hand sizes are illuminated by changing colours when the children explore the interactive walls. The x-ray images of fish can also be discovered!
SKYLINE… is a modular display system at a family centre, London . It was designed to fit between different sized windows to exhibit both 2D and 3D artworks.
